Samsung could use “laser-drilled display metal plates” in its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 to eliminate the visible crease on the flexible screen. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo states that Apple will use the same technology for its first foldable iPhone as well. This could provide a more seamless foldable screen experience. The components are said to be supplied by Fine M-Tec for both Samsung and Apple.
