Qualcomm says that Wi-Fi 8, under development as part of the ‘Ultra High Reliability’ (UHR) initiative, will significantly boost wireless network performance and reliability. Key enhancements include multi-access point coordination and seamless roaming. While the standard isn’t expected to be finalised until 2028, Qualcomm has already highlighted these upcoming reliability improvements for Wi-Fi 8.
