Google’s updated Play Integrity API will significantly restrict access for rooted or custom ROM users. The report indicates the API, used by developers to ensure app security, now uses hardware-backed signals for integrity checks. This change makes it much harder for uncertified Android versions to bypass Google’s verification, consequently limiting their access to various applications and services.
