Manufacturing iPhones in India remains significantly more cost-effective than in the US, even with a potential 25 percent tariff, according to a report from the Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI). US President Donald Trump recently threatened to impose a 25 percent tariff on Apple if it increases production in India, but GTRI suggests India’s economic viability for manufacturing persists despite these challenges.
